Iter Vitis is a Cultural Route of the Council of Europe, designed to narrate how the culture of the vine has shaped territories, architecture, and societies for millennia. In the
Veneto region,
this route reveals a dramatic, dual soul: the “heroic” viticulture of the Lagoon, where ancient varietals thrive within walled monastery gardens fighting the salt tides, and the UNESCO-heritage slopes of the Prosecco hills.

  • Rialto & Riva del Vin: walk through the historic heart of Venetian trade, visiting the riverbanks where wine barrels were once unloaded from the East.
  • San Silvestro: discover the stories of the ancient wine porters and the terminology of the historic taverns (magazeni, bastioni).
  • Cellars & Tasting: the tour culminates in a visit to historic cellars to uncover traditional winemaking secrets, followed by a tasting of exceptional local wines paired with artisanal cicchetti (Venetian tapas).

Asolo Panoramic Hike with Wine Tasting


Embark on an unforgettable 7 km journey starting from the foot of this enchanting town. With an elevation gain of 250 meters, you will ascend to Asolo, known as the “City of a Hundred Horizons” for its panoramic views and history as the beloved home of the legendary actress Eleonora Duse. Once you reach the heart of the village, you will be greeted by charming streets and vibrant squares, culminating the experience with a wine or food tasting in a local spot perfect for savoring the atmosphere of one of Italy’s most picturesque towns

Prosecco Hills Hike with Wine Tasting  

 

Embark on a scenic 6 km hike through the stunning Prosecco hills, where nature and tradition blend seamlessly. Starting at the serene Church of San Martino, the path offers a gentle ascent with a 200-meter elevation gain, leading you to the picturesque Chapel of San Vigilio, so iconic that its image graces the walls of Venice’s airport as a symbol of the region’s beauty. 

Surrounded by rolling vineyards and breathtaking views, the journey concludes with a delightful wine tasting at the renowned Rivagranda winery, where you can savor the essence of this world-famous wine region.

Follina Abbey Walk with Wine Tasting

 

Step into the heart of one of Italy’s most enchanting villages, where history whispers from every stone. Your journey begins at the majestic Follina Abbey, a timeless monument steeped in over a thousand years of history and the village’s rich wool-producing legacy. You will follow the path of the Fiadora stream, the lifeblood of the abbey, along an immersive 6 km route with little to no elevation gain.

 

To enhance the experience, you will indulge in a wine tasting at the renowned Mike Dalto Winery, enjoying a perfect blend of history, nature, and local flavor.

The Great War & Wine Tasting: Piave Bunkers Hike

 

Step back in time on an unforgettable journey where the echoes of history resonate through the natural landscape. This tour explores the hidden bunkers of the Piave River, where the rugged caves of Montello were transformed into secret refuges during the intensity of World War I. As you walk this 5 km path with a gentle 100-meter ascent, you will immerse yourself in the resilience of those who sought shelter within these underground fortresses. At the tour’s end, you will head to the peaceful Abbey of Sant’Eustachio to savor the region’s finest wines, perfectly complementing a day rich in history and discovery.
